PCPD’s Representative Speaks at the Seminar Entitled “Latest
Developments of Personal Data Protection Regimes in China and Various
Portuguese-speaking Countries”
Acting Senior Legal Counsel
of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD), Ms
Clemence WONG, spoke at the seminar on the “Latest Developments of
Personal Data Protection Regimes in China and Various Portuguese-
speaking Countries” held in Macao on 1 November. The event was
organised by the Personal Data Protection Bureau of the Macao Special
Administrative Region Government and Macao Lawyers Association.
Ms WONG provided the participants with an overview of the
latest developments of the personal data protection regime of Hong
Kong, including the anti-doxxing provisions under the Personal Data
(Privacy) Ordinance, the facilitation measures relating to the
Standard Contract for Cross-boundary Flow of Personal Information
Within the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (Mainland, Hong
Kong), the recommendations and best practices covered in the
“Artificial Intelligence: Model Personal Data Protection Framework”
issued by the PCPD, as well as the PCPD’s promotional and educational
work on data security in recent years.
