FINMA issues warning about new wave of phishing emails
The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA is warning that
an increasing number of phishing emails from a fake FINMA sender are
currently circulating again. The senders of the emails are pretending
to be FINMA employees. FINMA does not send such emails and does not
contact private individuals.
Recipients of emails purporting
to come from FINMA are asked to always check the sender’s address
carefully. FINMA recommends neither replying to such suspicious emails
nor following any instructions contained therein. Do not click on any
links contained in these emails.
If in doubt, please contact
FINMA via the email address questions@finma. ch and provide us with
details of the email purporting to come from FINMA. Information and
tips in connection with identity fraud and the misuse of FINMA’s name
